One of the centres biggest attractions is the tour of the site where you board a guided bus and view the launch sites from various spots and pass the facilities whilst getting detailed descriptions on what each does. The visitor centre offers great attractions including the rocket garden where you can view and stand in awe of these amazing and massive machines. You can also view the worlds second largest building (in cubic ft), the vehicle assembly plant that which can be see on the horizon way before you reach the space centre and the stripes of the flag on its side are larger than the highway lane you are driving along.

2 IMAX theatres have great shows detailing all things space related and the new shuttle launch facility provides a thrilling experience with a simulation ride based a shuttle launch itself which has to be the closest you can get to real launch.
Perhaps the most emotional experience you will have on your trip to Florida will be the Astronaut memorial at Kennedy Space Centre, this memorial is dedicated to the 24 astronauts who gave there lives to space exploration.

Another unique thing about the centre is you get to meet each day with at least one real life astronauts, with fewer than 500 of earths 6 billion people having flown in space this is a rare opportunity indeed to speak to them about there amazing first hand experiences.

Kennedy Space Centre is built on marsh land on Florida’s East coast, this gives it a varied wildlife and as you tour the complex it is not uncommon to see alligators, tortoises and eagles as you travel on your way.
