Located next door to Universal studios Islands of adventure is Universal’s answer to a thrill ride alternative to their other park. With 5 great areas to discover and a selection of rides that will not fail to leave you breathless this is a brilliant park for any ride lover.

Toon lagoon is the perfect place to cool off with some incredible water rides, Dudley Do-Rights ripsaw falls is a breathtakingly scary log flume ride that will leave you soaked and Popeye and Bluto’s Bilge rat barges is another that you will need some time to dry off after experiencing it.

The lost continent area has some great rides including the Duelling dragons, here to hanging roller coasters wrap around each other in a thrilling loop the loop ride where you really feel the two will at some point collide. This is considered one of the best roller coaster experiences in the world. Jurassic Park offers the chance to experience another great water ride as you travel through the park itself and really feel like you are part of the film with a thrilling final drop.

Seuss landing is a wacky world where Dr Seuss brings his magic to life, it is said there is not a straight line features anywhere in this section and the star attraction has to be the cat in the hat where you spin through the pages of this famous children’s book. Marvel super hero island offers some cracking and thrilling rides including the incredible Hulk coaster where you launch from 0-40mph in just 2 seconds on a journey of loops drops and more on one of Orlandos Best thrill rides. The amazing adventures of Spiderman is a unique 3D thrill ride that will amaze as you battle with the villains and help Spiderman on this incredible adventure that has special effects that are simply mind blowing.

The best value way to see the park is to buy a flexi ticket, the four park Orlando flexi ticket offers access to Universal Studios, Islands of adventure, Seaworld and Wet”n”Wild while the 5 park Orlando flexi ticket includes all those parks plus Bush gardens. You can buy a ticket just for universal but the flexi ticket options give you the best value and you can even go back to the parks to do your favourite bits again at no extra cost.
