Clearwater

Just less than a hundred miles away from International Drive Orlando lays the crystal clear waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the resort of Clearwater. Clearwater is a sun worshiper’s paradise with an average temperature of over 80 degrees; the warm sea laps the powder white sands of its stunning beaches.

Clearwater truly is a great getaway destination from the theme parks of Orlando but the resort still has more than enough to keep you entertained. The beach at clear water is a picture postcard scene; white sand and a clear blue warm sea make it a fantastic place to pass a few hours. There are plenty of other activities on offer on the beaches to with jet ski’s, boat trips, pedalo hire fishing trips and much more you will never get board. Another great attraction is the Clearwater screamer which is a high speed boat ride through the bay that offers a thrilling and usually soaking experience. Dolphins are common off the Clearwater coastline and many of the boat trips often encounter a pop as these beautiful marine mammals swim and dive alongside your boat.

The town itself has a great variety of shops from small boutique ‘s to larger stores offering heavily discounted prices on many designer names meaning that spending a little time with your flexible friend is more than worthwhile.

For those looking to seek a little more action then Busch Gardens is just 30 miles away in Tampa, this excellent animal themed park is a great day out for all ages. Or just two hours drive away is Orlando with its many theme parks including Disney and Universal Orlando can easily be reached just for a day.
