Busch Gardens

A fantastic theme park with a wildlife game reserve theme Busch Gardens is a must see park with a fantastic array of roller coasters, attractions, shows and much more.

As you walk around this stunning park you really feel like you could be in Africa as exotic and varied animals are to be found around every corner. The park even has its own African plain; the Serengeti Plain has hundreds of native African animals and birds and can be viewed from the parks railway line, skyride cable cars or on the Serengeti tour. Rhino rally also gets you up close and personal with the animals as you travel in your very own four by four off road vehicle on an adventure you will never forget as you search for the elusive rhino. Other animal attractions include Myombe reserve where gorillas and chimpanzees can be viewed closely, the edge of Africa where you take a self guided tour to view the animals including lions and hippos. With all the different animal habitats you could be forgiven for thinking this park is more of a zoo, however you could not be more wrong, the park is laid out such that it seems an entirely natural habitat for all the animals and you can not fail to notice the care and attention they receive from the parks staff.

After viewing the wildlife maybe you will want to look for something a little more exiting, Busch gardens will not disappoint, with 6 fantastic roller coasters, water rides and much more this park is also a hair raising experience. SheiKra was built in 2005 and became the nations first dive coaster where you plummet 200 feet 90 degrees straight down and for those few who said this was not enough in 2007 Busch gardens decided to remove the rides floor making this a unique roller coaster experience.

Other great roller coasters include Scorpion, the suspended coaster Montu and Kumba which is considered to be one of the world’s best. In the heat of the sun a great way to cool off is one of the water rides at Busch gardens. The Tanganyika tidal wave has 20 seater boats drop 55 feet creating a massive wave that will drench all (especially those stood on the bridge situated at the bottom of the drop). Stanley falls and the Congo rive rapids also provide for a thrilling soaking. Pirates 4D is a hilarious show staring Leslie Nielson and will have you laughing out loud with a surprise or two along the way. Several other shows in the park will also keep you entertained.

Adventure Island is Water Park the Busch gardens built next door to their theme park, this is a new park and with over ten great water rides and lots for all the family this park makes for yet another great day in Florida.

Busch Gardens is situated just outside sun kissed Tampa Bay in Florida. 75 miles west of Orlando it takes around 1 hour 15 minutes to reach the park, taking interstate 4 and is very easy to access. If You are not driving or do not have access to a car then several shuttle services are available from the Orlando area, mostly operated by Busch gardens the fare is $10.00 per person although if you have purchased an Orlando Flexi tickets then the ride is free of charge.
